Her early training began in Harlem at the legendary Harlem Theater Company, and with mentors such as Tina Satin (who trained Denzel Washington) at Open Cage Theater and Anthony Abeson (who coached to Jennifer Aniston) at The Pigeon Theater.
With every project, Sergia’s mission remains clear: to use the power of the arts to plant seeds of self-awareness, positive decision-making, higher learning, creative thinking, and healing. It’s a big mission—but one she embraces with fierce passion and unshakable purpose.
Mikell Edwards - Co-Producer
Mikell grew up as an only child in rural west Georgia, where books, storytelling, and anime became her favorite companions. Immersed in fantasy worlds, she fell in love with epic tales like Harry Potter and The Lord of the Rings, convinced that the only way to bring her own stories to life was to first write them as novels.
It wasn’t until after earning her Master’s degree in School Counseling that Mikell discovered a magical new word: “script.” What’s a script? she asked—and once she got the answer, it was on like Donkey Kong.
She dove into the world of screenwriting, learning the fundamentals, but the real breakthrough came when she began weaving her lived experiences into her work. With each script, her voice grew stronger, her characters richer, and her stories more resonant.
Today, Mikell is still on the journey—fine-tuning her voice and learning to trust the vulnerability that comes with putting pieces of herself on the page.
